Introduction:

The Administration has the responsibility for integrating the rich natural and cultural resources of the Greater Alishan area, and developing forest resource, mountain railway, Tsou tribe culture and eco-tourism travel packages.

Introduction:

The Visitor Center is located on the border of Zhuqi Township and Meishan Township in Chiayi County (next to Ruili No.1 bridge at the 23K point of Chiayi County road 122). It has an ecological display hall on the first floor suitable for the outdoor education of elementary school and junior high children and provides Yuantan scenery, water creature, plant and insect and other information; the second floor has a restaurant area where distinctive local dishes can be enjoyed and local agricultural products purchased.

 

Dabang Visitor Center

Introduction:

Dabang Management Station in Dabang Village on County Road 169 used to be a police building in the Japanese Colonial Period. The station is at the side of the proposed site of the Tsou Nature and Culture Center and its work includes supporting the development of Tsou village tourism, carrying out visitor protection work, providing travel information and other work.

Introduction:

Inaugurated on May 23, 2014, the Wenfeng Visitor Center provides both informative cultural displays and useful tourist services. The display areas are divided by three themes, “LOHAS,” “natural ecology” and “indigenous culture.” Interactive Multi-media facilities are there to showcase Alishan’s natural and cultural sites. Community groups and local artists are encouraged to hold activities at the center, too.
