Renshou

Renshou Village has a rich natural and cultural landscape. The local people have joined together to protect Yuantan Creek and established Yuantan Creek Eco Park which became Yuantan Nature Park after Alishan National Scenic Area Administration was established. Several protected species of fish can be seen swimming in the clear water, including the shovel-nosed minnow and hook snout carp, and walking along the river a number of waterfalls can be viewed.

Renshou is at an elevation of around 1000 meters. The village is surrounded by dense moist broad-temperate forest, mainly made up of conifers and bamboo. Walk along Rui-shui Highway to Yuntan Rest Stop, then go along the narrow path opposite and you will come to the midpoint stop on the Alishan Mountain Railway—Shuilsheliao Station.
