步道簡介
Tunabana Trail is shaped like the number “8.” Excluding the industrial road, the trail can be divided into the west section that passes by Sunset Pavilion, and the east section that goes to “Fire and Water Spring.” Starting from the west-end of the trail and through the industrial road, take a turn between the fruit farms. The log-shaped concrete stairs and the stone pavement extend upward in a “Z” shape. Mango trees that can be found on the way are an important industry in this area.174-DSC_8788_屯阿巴娜步道-s
Next you will come to Sunset Pavilion. Here, you can enjoy the excellent view of the village. After a short break, continue up into a secondary forest of makino bamboo and broad-leaved trees. From here, the trail becomes flat and easy. In a downhill section you will find stone oaks and their nuts on and around the path. Continue through the bamboos and you will reach the intersection of the trail and the industrial road.

Taking another route that begins from the northeast end, after going up the wooden stairs, through the bamboos and some fields, you will arrive at the location for the “fire-catching experience” in classic tribal tours. In the center pond, the high-pressured spring water and gas coming out of the ground, once lit, become the wonder of “Fire and Water Spring.” The symbol of black bulbul next to the spring tells an ancient tale. From here, you are very close to the east-end entrance of the trail and can easily reach the Jayama Waterfalls to enjoy the cool water.
