To promote the newly established 235 Regional Tourism Development and Industry Alliance, the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Administration), Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation launched the inaugural conference at a hotel today (on the 28th). The Director of the Administration, Ma Hui-ta, and over 60 members of the alliance in Chiayi County and City joined the signing ceremony to demonstrate the joint commitment of Chiayi County and City in promoting high-quality tourism. Attendees of the conference included Chou Hen-kai, Deputy Director of Alishan Forest Railway and Cultural Heritage Office Forestry Bureau, Council of Agriculture (COA), Executive Yuan; Cheng Chun-teng, Secretary of Chiayi Forest District Office, Forestry Bureau, COA, Executive Yuan; Chang Wan-fen, Director of Tourism and Information Department, Chiayi City Government; Li Mao-chung, Deputy Director of Culture and Tourism Bureau, Chiayi County, as well as leaders and professionals from over 20 tourism industry associations of Chiayi City and County.

The Director of the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration, Ma Hui-ta, expressed that the Administration will assist in promoting the development of the food, accommodation, tourism, shopping, and transportation sectors of the industry, spanning from Caoling, Yunlin in the north to Chiayi County and City in the south. The establishment of the industry alliance has been a key focus for the Administration, aiming to maximize benefits through joint promotion with associations and local organizations. The alliance is expected to propose projects, ideas, and concepts that prioritize the happiness of tourists as consumers and the profitability of industries. Furthermore, the Administration hopes to serve as a platform that integrates local organizations and industry partners, facilitating their development and fostering cooperation within the tourism industry.

To further enhance tourism experiences and boost economic output, the Administration will prioritize the development of the regional tourism industry. This includes efforts to improve tourism services and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the environment, aiming to establish a distinctive regional tourism brand and image for the entire region. The aim is to foster a prosperous and mutually beneficial regional tourism development in the 235 area by promoting mutual cooperation and leveraging complementarity and the multiplier effect among all stakeholders.
