Great Alishan Tourism Union

The Great Alishan Tourism Union was established in March 2019. This national scenic area is rich in tourism resources. Key tourism themes in this area include tea, coffee, railways, indigenous culture, ecology and romance. Three core concepts underlying these themes are “exquisite,” “niche,” and “in-depth.” The area’s transportation network shuttles tourists through the cascading greenery of mountains and forests. It’s famous for the beauty of the sunrise in a sea of clouds, as well as its meticulous tea garden scenery and the culture of the Tsou people.

This area’s agricultural specialties, such as Alishan tea and coffee, have won numerous awards and garnered recognition at home and abroad. Also, the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration has launched the "Alishan EASYGO" e-commerce platform. This platform provides information on tours related to key themes, as well as other options. Because of the pandemic, a feature was added that allows people to purchase special Alishan products while shopping from home.

Niupuzi Love Prairie
Spanning 20 hectares, the vast plain is adorned with numerous installation arts inspired by "love" and "Alishan," providing visitors with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature on the sun-kissed green expanse. This attraction is particularly appealing to families with children and offers a tranquil space for visitors to rest, capture photographs, and indulge in leisurely moments outdoors.
Fenqihu
Situated at an altitude of 1,400 m, it serves as a relay station along the Alishan Forest Railway and is a must-visit destination for visitors to Alishan. Here, you will discover Fenqihu Old Street, which stands as the highest-altitude old street in Taiwan, and a cedar forest trail imbued with the invigorating essence of phytoncides. Walking along this trail allows you to immerse yourself in the rejuvenating atmosphere of the forest.
Taiping Suspension Bridge
With a length of 281 m and an elevation of approximately 1,000 m, it stands as the longest and highest-altitude scenic suspension bridge in Taiwan. In addition to providing breathtaking views of the Chianan Plain and the Tai-Ping 36 Bends, it is also a fantastic spot to appreciate the beauty of sunsets, cloud seas, and other natural scenery.
Tsou veoveoana Cultural and Creative Park
It is a comprehensive recreational destination that incorporates Tsou people's dances, music, culture, and a local market. Visitors can enjoy a cultural tour of the Tsou tribe, feed adorable Formosan sika deer, experience traditional archery, handwash Ai-Yu jelly, paint wild boars, screen print tote bags, and participate in other handicraft DIY activities. These experiences provide visitors with a profound immersion into Tsou culture while also offering the opportunity to explore and engage with local products and crafts at the market.
