Alishan National Scenic Area Administration of Tourism Bureau, MOTC (hereinafter the Alishan Administration) in collaboration with the nine Tsou tribes jointly organized the Alishan Tsou Annual Festival. On September 8, 2022, the Alishan Tsou Annual Festival press conference was held at Chukou Visitor Center. Fongdi euvuvu Performing Arts Troupe gave brilliant Tsou music and dance performance and opened the event, warmly inviting people from everywhere to visit Alishan and enjoy the charm of the Tsou tribe and have an in-depth experience of Tsou culture.

Hong Weixin, Director of the Alishan Administration, stated that the traditional Tsou life and rich ecotourism resources of Alishan are one-of-a-kind cultural treasures of Taiwan. Alishan Tsou Annual Festival is organized by Alishan Administration in collaboration with the nine Tsou tribes. On the premise of respecting the tribes, it promotes themed activities with local characteristics. Since its launch in 2018, it has been affirmed and supported by the tribes and outsiders.

This year, the next event will be the Shanmei Taiwan Shovel-jaw Carp Festival on November 5-6, the Laiji Thanksgiving Festival on November 12, the Chashan Hufu Festival on November 19-20, and the Zhulu Sharing Festival on December 3-4. These are all recommended itineraries for the best in-depth travel during the fall and winter seasons. People from all over Taiwan are warmly welcomed to the tribes to experience the unique charm of the legendary Tsou Annual Festival.

In addition, more great events this year such as the "2022 Taiwan Indigenous Tourism Festival" (September 30-October 2) hosted by the Alishan Administration, and the much-loved "Muni Music Festival" (October 1, November 12) will surely keep Alishan busy and lively.

In addition to outstanding Tsou music and dance groups such as yupasuengi and Tsou Folk Ballad Choir of Laiji, performance groups from Amis, Puyuma, and Bunun tribes are also invited to perform. In this grand event, the collision of different cultures produces an explosion of artistic creativity, taking the audience of Muni Festival to a climax of audio and visual experiences. Every participant is amazed and moved by the brightest voice of Alishan.

In recent years, the Alishan Administration has assisted the nine tribes to promote tribal tours and received very positive feedback. These nine classic tours include Hunters’ tour at Zhulu Tribe, Saviki Tanayiku Nature and Ecology Park tour, Xinmei Niahosa hunter’s legend tour, Chashan Hufu tour, Leye Lalauya coffee tour, Dabang Kuba Tour, Tefuye Hosa tour, Lijia blue tribe bounty hunter tour, and Tashan boar hunter tour.
