To continue the success of the special solar term theme tea festivals of the Alishan Four Seasons Tea Tour in the spring and summer, and the positive feedback received from all the visitors, the Autumn Tea Festival will be based on the following six solar terms: Liqiu, Chushu, Bailu, Qiufen, Hanlu and Shuangjiang. Tea experts from the local communities will carefully plan tea ceremonies that correspond to each solar term. Local seasonal ingredients will also be carefully chosen to create exclusive autumn pastries. Guests who chant solar term poems with local poets will receive a teacup limited to the tea tour event. The event will also work with the Tourism Bureau’s “Small Town Concert” theme and have the powerhouse performance team - National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra - perform a brass quintet show at the Taixing Waterfall Trail. Visitors will be immersed in the melodious music while simultaneously absorbing the healing energy of nature, and tasting the excellent Alishan alpine tea. It’s a great way to relax and appreciate the beauty of nature.

The tea festival is held at Yuantan Eco Park and Taixing Waterfall Trail, where there are excellent landscapes like streams and waterfalls. Taixing Waterfall Trail received the Public Construction Golden Quality Excellent Award and became the hot spot this year for folks to escape the summer heat. During the Bailu solar term period, thousands of Cattle egrets fly over the “Phoenix Cave”, named by locals, in Shengmaoshuxi Valley when they migrate south. As they circle around the valley, the special ecological scene is known as “Thousand Egrets pay pilgrimage to the Phoenix”. Visitors who come here to participate in the autumn tea festival can’t help but admire this great phenomenon.
