Introduction
Taiping Suspension Bridge is 281 meters long and 1,000 meters above sea level. It is the longest and highest altitude sightseeing suspension bridge in Taiwan. The suspension bridge spans across Wangfengtai in Taiping Village, Meishan, Sanyuan Rainbow Waterfall, and ends at Guishan. Visitors can have a bird’s-eye view of Chiayi’s scenery and enjoy the sea of clouds. The famous and beautiful Meishan 36 Bends can be seen clearly here, and the Chiayi-Tainan Plain can be seen in the distance. Transport
1. Take Taiwan Railway: Please get off at Chiayi Station, and transfer to Meishan-bound bus. At Meishan Station, transfer to Taiping-bound bus to Taiping Suspension Bridge. 2. Take HSR: Please get off at Chiayi Station, and transfer to BRT. Get off at Chiayi Train Station and transfer to a bus heading to Meishan. At the Meishan bus station transfer to a Taiping-bound bus to Taiping Suspension Bridge. 3. Bus lines 7304, 7315, and 7323 all depart from Chiayi Train Station. At Meishan bus station, transfer to Taiping-bound bus to Taiping Suspension Bridge.
