Danayigu is located in the catchment area of the upper reaches of the Zengwen River. The river is home to many shovel-nosed minnows.

The former township chief encouraged residents to donate the fishing grounds that were previously owned by individual families, leading to the formation of the River Conservation Association. The villagers established their own patrol group to prevent illegal fishing—such as electrocution or poisoning—and to strengthen pollution prevention efforts. After years of hard work, fish can now easily be seen swimming in the clear waters, allowing the river's ecosystem to make a full recovery.

The park features three fish-viewing areas, with the first area having the largest fish population. When the sun is high, silver flashes can be seen underwater as the minnows scrape algae off the rocks with their bodies. The second and third fish-viewing areas are within a 30-minute walk from the first. In addition to minnows, dace can also be spotted.
