Named for the Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) and Taiwan cedar (Taiwania cryptomerioides) lined along its path, the trail is divided into two sections. One trailhead is located next to the Tudigong (Earth God) Temple behind Parking Lot No. 2. The other is situated in front of a residential house near the Zhonghe Police Station. The two routes are linked by an industrial road near the southern entrance of the "Xiajiaodianzai Trail."

Starting from the Tudigong Temple, descend the wooden steps beside the railway line. After crossing an intersection with the industrial road, you will enter a dense cedar forest. The towering, sky-aspiring cedars offer a magnificent sight, while epiphytic ferns wrapped around the high trunks reach toward the sunlight to claim their space in the lush canopy.

Looking around, the diverse native plants and understory shrubs are thriving with life, filling the air with a fresh wild earthiness and natural phytoncides. The wide wooden boardwalk and its built-in bench railings are distinctive features of this trail. Upon reaching a junction further ahead, one path branches off toward Xiajiaodianzai (the "Oldest Street"), which also leads back to the historic Fenqihu Old Street.

Continuing forward, you will reach an elegant pavilion where you can pause to listen to the melodious songs of forest birds. Further along stands the "Lucky Rock from Above" (Tian Wai Fu Shi). Local legend has it that the Earth God manifested his power to stop this massive boulder from rolling down the slope into residential homes.

After looping around the southern side of Fuhua Highway, you will enter the second section of the trail, leaving the forest edge behind to re-enter a secluded cedar sanctuary. Following the wooden boardwalk, you will smoothly arrive at the opposite trailhead.
